JS Hearing Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 3, 2025
1. Introduction
JS Hearing (hereinafter referred to as "the App") is a mobile application developed by Nanjing Jusha Display Technology Co., Ltd. for hearing aid monitoring and management. We fully recognize the sensitivity of your health data, and this policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
Important Notice:
- The App is not intended for medical diagnosis. All data is for reference only. Please consult a healthcare professional for medical advice.
- By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
2. Types of Information Collected
2.1 User-Provided Data
- Account Information: Username provided during registration.
- Health Data: Manually entered hearing adjustment preferences, listening environment notes, and hearing condition-related remarks.
2.2 Automatically Collected Data
- Hearing Aid Data: Hearing aid parameter settings (such as volume level, noise reduction grade, sound mode), real-time working status (such as battery power, connection status), and hearing test result records obtained via Bluetooth-connected compatible hearing aids.
2.3 Permission Requirements
- Bluetooth Permission: Required to pair with hearing aid devices, enabling data transmission between the App and hearing aids.
- Location Permission: Some Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids may require location access to enable device scanning and stable connection functionality.
- Microphone Permission: Required if the App provides functions such as hearing environment sound sampling and adjustment, which can be disabled by users at any time without affecting basic hearing aid management functions.
- Storage Permission: Used to encrypt and store core data locally, including hearing aid configuration parameters, historical hearing test records, and usage reports. It supports offline access to historical data (e.g., reviewing previous hearing settings without an internet connection) and prevents data loss due to App restarts or temporary malfunctions. Only accesses the App's exclusive storage directory and does not read or modify other personal files (such as photos or documents) on the user's device.
3. Purpose of Data Use
Core Functions:
- Display real-time working status of hearing aids (including battery power, connection status) and current parameter settings.
- Generate historical usage reports (e.g., 7-day hearing aid use duration statistics, frequency of different sound mode selections).
- Show hearing adjustment trend graphs (e.g., changes in volume adjustment over a certain period) to help users and healthcare professionals understand hearing aid usage patterns.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Local Storage: Hearing-related data is encrypted and stored on the user's device by default. Users can choose to enable cloud backup (if provided) according to their needs. All locally stored data is permanently deleted upon app uninstallation.
- Security Measures: Data transmission between the App and hearing aids is encrypted using Bluetooth secure communication protocols to prevent unauthorized access or interception of data during transmission.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sellyour hearing health data to third parties. Data may only be shared under the following circumstances:
- User-Initiated Sharing: When users voluntarily disclose data to healthcare professionals (such as audiologists) for hearing aid adjustment advice, or to family members for joint attention to hearing health.
- Legal Compliance: In response to lawful requests from courts, government authorities, or other relevant legal institutions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
6. User Rights
- Access & Correction: Users may view, modify, or delete account information and hearing-related data (except for necessary historical records for function maintenance) at any time through the "My Data" section in the App.
- Data Export: Users can export hearing aid usage data and parameter records in a specified format (such as CSV) through the App's data export function for personal backup or sharing with healthcare professionals.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Policy Updates
We may revise this policy. Material changes will be notified via in-app alerts. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
9. Disclaimer
- The App's data does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a physician.
- We are not liable for data loss caused by network or device failures.
- We do not guarantee the compatibility of the App with all hearing aid models. Users should confirm whether their hearing aids are compatible with the App before use.
